About Me

Roger a little lighter.

I grew up among the redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California, reading and collecting comic books, riding my bike and learning Kung Fu.

In junior high I wrote, illustrated, and staple-bound instruction booklets on Judo throws which I sold to my classmates for twenty-five cents each.  In high school I wrote a short story (“Sadek the Narzanian”) complete with a hand-illustrated continental map.  I also wrote a play – my rendition of “Dracula”, which the English Literature class performed.  Several essays (e.g., “Sherlock Holmes: Man or Myth?”) and other pieces of curiosity drifted off my pen as well during those early years.

When I entered the corporate world I wrote and edited test procedures, including, “The Inspection of Solar Cell Bonds Using the IR Camera”, for my manager at Lockheed Missiles and Space.  I have written dozens of procedures, guides, instruction manuals and other needed script, for technicians, managers, directors and users during my 25-year career in Information Technology.

I have two novels under my belt and have just started a blog: Exercise For Those Who Hate It but Realize They Need It.

I love to write, but I also enjoy playing my guitar, listening to music, watching movies, reading, nature and photography.  But above all is my genuine passion for helping others.  And if my writing can take some part in that, all the better.

So if you have a project and need an effective writer please contact me – I’d love to work with you.
